Eleyda Jones was born in Panama, Panama City on July 15, 1963. She was born again for over 30 years in Church of God, Colon, Panama serving under Pastor Horacio Spraggs. God called her at a very young age. At the age of 13 she started out as a Sunday school teacher in the streets of Panama, where she stood at a street corner and played the tambourine and sang a chorus to gather kids. As the children gathered around her, she would start teaching them about the love of God. For about three years, she served as an Extension Sunday School Teacher. At the age of 15 she was preaching and teaching in different churches in most of the provinces in Panama. She started out in Baby (beginner) Churches, Sunday School, and Young Ladies Ministry. She was President of the Young Ladies Ministry in Church of God - Colon, Panama and was assigned to be the District Director of the Young Ladies Ministry having ten churches under the ministry.
As of today, She is still an active member in her local church. She loves to serve and has been faithfully serving God for over 30 years in diverse ministries.
The Lord call her to write a book based on her life story- overcoming anxiety, depression, and oppression. He said, let My children know if I did it for you, I will also do it for them. She was put through a process where the enemy tried to take her mind when for a second she took my eyes off of God and put it on her first husband.
"God taught me that she must only keep my eyes on Him and He will keep me in perfect peace. God brought me back to life; I was destined to die right after my first husband died. Doctors requested for me to get a proxy because everything in my body was shutting down. My blood level was going down rapidly and they didn’t understand why."
Not knowing what was happening in her life, Bishop Ellington
received a prophetic word from God which said, “Get my daughter in the hands of someone because the Lord is calling her home”, and he prayed and ended the call.
She received the proxy and had a family that would gladly take care of her three daughters after legalizing everything. She slowly went on her knees and prayed. At that moment she remembered the prophet in the Bible that went through the same thing that she was going through and prayed to God the same way saying: “Father I have no problem going home. I gave you my youth, my life, and my everything to you. I never backslid, we walked together every step of the way, you restored my mind, you’ve been keeping the girls and I. I have no problem going home, because you are all I want and you are all I will ever need, but my daughters- their dad died, now me? Father, there is no one better than a mother to take care of her children, you are a father and I am a father and a mother. If you can only give me health and strength and life; I will live to only serve you and raise these girls in the ministry, but let your will be done Father. Amen.”
The following day, she felt something different. "Life was coming back into my body." She went back to the hospital and after some blood tests the doctors asked, “What did you do?” She said “nothing but pray, God brought me back and rearranged my life. Glory to God, the Lord is good and His mercy endures forever. God is the one keeping me alive and I live today like I will never live to see tomorrow. My life belongs completely to Him. He is my first, and my last; in Him I live and in Him I move and I have my being. I could go on and on because He is just so sweet."
She received her Bachelors Degree in Theology at Trinity University (under Jehovah Jireh Non- Denominational Institute of Theology, Counseling and Christian Education) and a Masters Degree in Counseling. She studied and interned as a Chaplain at Lennox Hill Hospital in New York, Manhattan. Today she can say:
“I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” -Galatians 2: 20.
